Pawject Runway is one of Baltimore’s most recognizable and feel-good community events, bringing together adoptable dogs and cats from BARCS with Show Your Soft Side’s “Big Softies,” including pro athletes, media personalities, musicians, and local leaders, who walk animals down the runway and help tell their stories. For well over a decade, this bi-annual event has created powerful moments of connection between people and pets while advancing two missions: saving the lives of thousands of homeless animals each year at BARCS, Maryland’s largest open-admission shelter, and supporting Show Your Soft Side’s national work to prevent animal violence by changing how our culture defines strength and compassion.
